About
Also known as the Wolverine, Logan (born James Howlett) is a man without a past and without a home. He's forged his identity from haphazard memories, adopting the name Logan along the way. These days, he's found his place with the X-Men, accepting them as his family.

Logan is from an alternate 2023 where a vicious war with the humans has wiped out nearly all mutant kind. Having travelled back in time to try and rectify the future, he only recalls drowning and waking up to...well, somewhere. Unsure if he somehow made things worse (seems on brand for him), he's most concerned about 1) what the hell happened; and 2) whether his people are safe.

Because of his time under the experimental Weapon X program (I've elected to ignore most of Origins and will stick to the more insinuated horror of the original X1/X2 flashbacks), he's prone to flashbacks and nightmares and has only the loosest grasp on his history. He tends to shroud himself in solitude, hovering at the threshold of society. Deep down, he craves love, a family, and a place to belong—all those nice things he's not sure he deserves.
First Impressions
With the hair and the muttonchops, Logan's silhouette is unmistakable. He carries the aura of the Great White North, preferring leather, flannel, denim, and fur-lined jackets. You'll usually catch him with a cigar in his mouth or a bottle of whiskey in his hand—or both. He's remarkably unscarred. A guy like him seems like he ought to have a mark or two, but he doesn't.

As a smoker, he permanently smells of cigars. Probably leather and motor oil, too, if he's been working on his motorcycle. His accent is ambiguously North American with a rough inflection. Though he's hardly a chatterbox, he'll carry a conversation if he's in the mood. He's not immune to cracking a wry smile. If he's annoyed, you'll know it.

He can take on a polite edge when faced with little old grannies. He's a touch softer with kids. He'll use nicknames now and again, though not as much as he does in the comics. Some are affectionate. Others are not.
Demeanor
Outwardly gruff, occasionally a straight-up asshole, and perpetually on the brink of falling back into his self-destructive pit of alcoholism, Logan's temper runs hot on the best of days. His impatience often gets the better of him, and although he can be sneaky in a fight in that hunter-esque way, subtlety is not his strong suit.

And yet, there's another side to him: his bedroom at the mansion has a shelf full of well-loved books, he's protective over those he considers most vulnerable, and his sense of loyalty flows deep. If you're worth his time, he makes a good listener. Sometimes, he even gives decent advice. His soul lingers several decades back—etched into a bygone era where a man could disappear, carve out a patch for himself in the middle of nowhere, and go unbothered for years.

This Logan is arguably at his best, which is saying something, considering he's not exactly the picture of patience. But a Logan with a purpose—who's got people depending on him—is a Logan who's determined to keep his shit together...mostly. Logan's still Logan, so. You get what you get. He doesn't pretend to be something he's not. Despite the walls he's built, he's a man driven by emotion and instinct, and he can wear his heart on his sleeve in surprising ways.
Skills & Abilities
Mutations
Regeneration, a.k.a. his healing factor, which lets him spit up bullets and recover from being nuked within seconds. Disease and toxins are a non-issue, injuries don't keep him down long, and his stamina is nearly boundless. That said, he's not unstoppable, and the more his healing factor is taxed, the more he starts to slow down. Complex organs such as his eyes can take longer to heal. As a side effect, he ages minimally.

Unbreakable skeleton. His skeleton is bonded with adamantium, the strongest manmade alloy on earth. This augments his durability since his bones can't break. He also hits hard, even without the claws. The adamantium adds about 200 lbs to his frame. Bonus: if you smack him on the head with a pipe, it makes a hilarious cartoony clanging noise.

Claws, originally bone but now coated in the same adamantium. They can shred through steel, but will meet their match against Vibranium. His claws unsheathe between his knuckles and retract when not in use. The PG-13 films avoid displaying in detail how his claws split the flesh each time, but in the comics, there's a bit of blood when they come out.

Heightened senses. Smell, eyesight (including night sight), and hearing are tuned to that of a predator, making him one of the best trackers. He's extremely difficult to sneak up on. There's an opt-in/out form for his senses. Please fill it out if you can!

Enhanced physicality. Logan can chuck people straight through concrete walls, and he's surprisingly fast despite the extra weight. He can launch himself pretty far, too.

Rage. The XMCU doesn't touch on this as explicitly, but there are discernible moments where Logan falls into a semi-primal state, usually identified by his trademark Roar™. He won't really lose control unless pushed to the brink (see: his variant in Deadpool & Wolverine), but it seems to give him a boost in ferocity.

Other. In the comics, he has an affinity toward wildlife, adopting wolf packs as his family and befriending lions (long story). While the XMCU is more ambiguous, it is alluded to in The Wolverine, and Logan's animal nature is frequently referenced across the films. Presumably, the wild animals he encounters have an innate sense that he's one of them—a roaming predator—and thus leave him alone.
Morphs
Hot Claws. Logan's claws heat up intensely when he enters a rage state. In exchange, they drain his healing factor while active and make him (temporarily) more vulnerable, reducing his ability to regenerate as effectively. Throughout and after, his knuckles will bleed heavily instead of healing over right away. This will last a day or so before returning to normal.
Weaknesses
Drowning. Logan regenerates, but will simply drown over and over if you sink him deep enough. His adamantium skeleton means he doesn't float naturally. He's a decent swimmer, but he has to stay conscious in the water or else he's joining the Titanic.

Head Trauma. His skull can't be penetrated, but the brain inside it is still squishy. Enough rattling or a hard enough blow, and he'll pass out just like anyone else. It takes a lot, and he regains consciousness quickly, but it does work.

Tranquilizers. They need to be strong enough to take down an elephant, and you need to pump a lot of them into him, but they can knock him out (temporarily). You're better off bringing these than regular bullets.

Giant magnets. Self-explanatory.

His own damn self. Sometimes he's the problem.
